Guidelines for Authors
1.Papers/articles can be on any issue of contemporary importance either in Management or Insurance.

2.Considering the intended audience, we recommend that papers/articles be written in simple language avoiding the use of too much of jargon. Wherever it is felt that use of jargon(s) is/are indispensable, adequate explanation must be given to enable the audience to understand the topic clearly.

3.Papers/articles, in normal circumstances, should not exceed ten numbers of  A4 size sheets in length with following Font specifications - Font Type - Times New Roman, Font Size  - 12, Line Spacing  - 1.5. However, relevance & quality of article weighs over the space constraints.Manuscript length should be around 4000 word counts.

4.Papers/articles compulsorily be submitted in MS word format. Prior approval from editor is required for submission of papers/articles in other formats.

5.Explanations of specific terms can be put under footnotes.Sub-script numerical is to be used to notify such terms inside the paper.


6.References, if any, is encouraged to be mentioned, but only at the end of the article. Super-script numerical be used inside the paper to notify references. The style of referencing should be as per following standards
A. For Books –
Name of Author ( Surname followed by First Name ), Year of Edition/ Publication in brackets. Title of the Book. Name of Publisher followed by place where published.
For example – Robins, Stephen P, and Coulter, Mary ( 2002 ). Management. Pearson Education, New Delhi
B. For Papers published in Journals –
Name of Author ( Surname followed by First Name ), Year of Publication in brackets. Title of the article / paper under double quote. Name of the Journal, Volume followed by issue in brackets, Page numbers.For example – Mcgregor, D. ( 1957 ). “Uneary Look at Performance Appraisal”. Harvard Business Review, 35(1), 89-94.
C. For Web content –
The title of the article on the web, URL , date on which article was accessed.
For example
"Publication", http:/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/publication , accessed on 23/12/2008
"Climate change", http:/worldchanging.com/archives/002864.html, accessed on 16/12/2006
7.Authors must send a 'release', in the following format  (with digital signatures, if available, else duly signed release with hard-copy of paper/articles should be sent to the editor's address.)  –
I hereby declare that the research paper titled “ __________________” is a paper of original work done by me for my academic purpose and not published or submitted for publication in other journal/magazine/publications in India or anywhere else. I further declare that it has not been presented or submitted for presentation at any seminar/conference/ workshop.
8.Papers/articles published in 'Pravartak - The Journal of Insurance & Risk Management' should not be reproduced or reprinted in any form, either in full or in part, without prior written permission from the Editor.

9.Kindly note that it is the author's responsibility to obtain permission to reprint quotations or use tables, figures or graphs, previously published with copyright restrictions.

10.The title length of the submitted paper is limited to maximum eight words. The Editorial Board, however, reserves the right to amend, modify or change the paper title to suit the article, with or without intimation to the author.

11.The final decision of publishing the papers/articles rests, collectively or individually with the Editorial Board or Issue Editor of 'Pravartak - The Journal of Insurance & Risk Management', respectively.
