DUAL SPECIALIZATION
NIASoM, a premier institute in insurance, offers its students a dual specialization;
one in Insurance and the other, a functional specialization in Finance, Marketing, IT and HR.
FACULTY
The amalgamation of NIA and NIASoM programs provides an effective platform to the MBA students for a continuous industry interface. Several Management Development Programs (MDP’s) are conducted for executives from the industry through the year which provides the NIASOM students with a platform to interact with executives at different levels in organizations. Also the many events conducted at the institute are graced by the presence of renowned stalwarts from the field of insurance, finance, and IT at national and international levels.
CORPORATE INTERFACE
NIASOM’s multi disciplinary faculty is drawn from the cream of academia as well as the industry. Also our visiting faculty includes people holding significant positions in the industry. This wealth of experience and inputs on the current market scenario helps our students keep pace with the highly dynamic corporate environment.
MANAGEMENT PRACTITIONERS
The students at NIASoM put their classroom learning into practice as all of the events conducted at the institute are student driven. Through these activities the students build on their people skills and intrapreneurial skills. Unique initiatives of Insurance Laboratory (INLAB) and live projects help the students in bridging the gap between theory and practice.
Some of the events/activities co-ordinated and managed by the students at NIASoM are:
§ The students at NIASoM have introduced ‘PRAVARTAK’ a journal which presents research & perspectives in insurance and management.
§ Our flagship event, the Insurance summit is an ideal platform for industry veterans, academicians and budding professionals to come together .
§ The HR summit – TATVA , an annual event debates on the major challenges faced in terms of human resource management.
§ MANTHAN the management fest at NIASoM celebrates the spirit of NIASoM and plays host to students from management institutes across the country.
§ Insurance Laboratory – INLAB the brain child of NIASoM works on developing textual concepts into applications and is a unique initiative in its sector.
