Intramural Activities

 
At NIASoM, every step in the learning ladder is full of challenges. In order that the students can get a feel of industry and for the enhancement of their skills, special intramural programmes have been developed. By participating in these para-curricular activities, the students learn to deal with real-time problems that they will face sooner or later in their career. These activities are meant to help in stimulating the cold reasoning power.
 
 

1. STUDENT

Structuring the Unstructured by Discussion, Evolution, Negotiation and Training is a program that aims at finding the potholes of under-managed sectors of the society .Through this initiative the students learn to perform systematic prognosis and diagnosis of management problems and find feasible solutions.
 
 

2. MID

“Servant leadership”, the brainchild of erstwhile AT&T chairman, Greenleaf, forms the foundation for Management Intrapreneurship Development. The process encourages the concept of intrapreneurship while maintaining obeyance to the boss. 
 
 

3. BEAD

Business ethics is not a strategic option but a desirable compulsion. Business strategy gives competitive advantage over competitors in the race but only when ethical practices are followed. The Business Ethics Advancement and Development programme is meant to instil the values and ethics that managers need to follow while applying competitive strategy in day-to-day management.
 
 

4. POY

Power of You is meant to develop referent power in the students. An idle sword gets rusted until sharpened from time-to-time. Similar is the brain. To challenge the brain to think beyond the horizon and an overall development of the mental faculty, its important that it is charged every now and then. "Power of You" is conceptually a process of deciding what referent power to imbibe for proper metabolic process of power demand in the working life of a manager.

Management Fest – Manthan 

The students of NIASoM welcome autumn into the picturesque campus by organizing the management fest “Manthan”. It aims at bringing out the creative best in the managers of the future. Manthan brings together students from various B-schools from all over India and gives them an opportunity to give flight to their imagination and stand out of the crowd. Manthan helps in imbibing healthy competitive students and helps to rejuvenate their spirits by moving out of the cocoon of mundane activities.
 
 

Pravartak 

The students of NIASOM made a humble beginning by introducing ‘Pravartak’ a quarterly journal which is a blend of management and insurance subjects. Its objective is to provide a platform for students, researchers and professionals in the field of management and insurance to share their thoughts and experiences.
 
 

Utkarsh

Utkarsh is the monthly in-house magazine brought out by the students which contains articles on management, insurance, soduku , cartoon strip etc.
 
 
 

FiNiA(Finance and Investment Club of NIA)

FiNiA is the brainchild of the students of NIASoM who are spearheading the concept of self-learning. It aims to take the students on a journey of knowledge and a better understanding of the financial markets that are the engines of an economy.
 
 

Marketing and Advertising Club of NIA(MacNia) 

MacNia is a result of the kaleidoscope of the creative manifestations of business turks in the making. The club aims at enabling students to think out-of-the-box through unparalleled classroom activities. The club is a tribute to the ingenious marketing mind that strives its way through the maze to reach out to the customer.
